Question:

Who to contact at HiIlton about hotel problems who will care?

We stayed at the Hilton Tobago, had a horrible experience with everything - service, hotel functioning, billing, room, maid service, hotel condition - everything. I have written Christopher Nassetta (CEO), Jim VonDerheide (VP of CRM Strategies), and the customer service online - no one has responded. Is there anyone who cares that this hotel and its management need attention/intervention? They could at least acknowledge my letter - after all I am a gold Hilton Honors member - for whatever that's worth......

  1. I have to apologize kyboop. You came here for help and no one has offered any guidance or assistance and are instead getting defensive and being inappropriate.

It's really too bad that the hotel was not able to provide what they had promised and continue to ignore your concerns despite your efforts. You are right to not accept this service and no one should tell you that you should be happy with what you did receive. You've sought help from the general public and you're still getting the same run around that Hilton has given.

My advice is to contact a consumer advocacy group regarding the money that you have been erroneously charged. There are a number of organizations like this that may be willing to help you out. You are also within your rights to discourage anyone who asks to stay in that hotel, as well as other Hiltons.

  2. sorry sweets, gots to agree wit d sistren here. sometimes wen ppl carry deyself a certain way, it doh really matta wat kinda memba yah is. & if d CEO didnt contact you.....well....sometimes we jus doh get wat we expek. doh let it ruin yah time, use it as a learnin xperience.

  3. Did u imagine it would be like Hilton back home!  Its a cosy hotel and if you had all those issues then maybe its not the hotel, maybe your expectations were too high

  4. I'm sorry it was not what you thought it would have been.  But think of the positives.  You got to stay in the only upside down hotel in the world, where the lobby is on the top of the hotel.  You got to stay and view the largest round-about the Queens Park savannah.

You were 20 minutes from bake and shark at Maracus beach.

You were 10 minutes from driving to the Lady Young look-out and viewing our beautiful city.

And best of all, listen to me, best of all you were 10 minutes or less driving to a doubles person (All yuh like meh politically correct t'ing dey - doubles person, not man).

So look at the positives and take that back with you....

Please come again and much love form the Trini Posse and the people of Trinbago.

  5. yes i concur....maybe ur expectations are too high

did u have any positives while there or u jus bitchin cuz its not like what it is back where u are from ?

    --------------------------------------...

i didnt say u shouldnt expect certain things i jus asked if u were expecting too much

and what u should have done was protest to the management while there so maybe service would have been rectified then and there

  6. I stayed at Hilotn Trinidad and I didnt get any bad treatment at all....it wa wonderful...it was into the new year...and service was excellent...what i would have done was make a complaint at the moment these things happened. Trust me they would have tried to make things better...i hope...
