Who to contact in case of emergency when in Mexico?

I will be traveling to Mexico this December and i was wondering if anyone has any information about who i should contact in case i have an emergency for example someone in my party gets lost or kidnapped of looses a passport? I know the police is not very reliable or honest so i was just curious for info.
