  1. The laws on who to contact (if you even have to) are different in every state. go to : http://www.hslda.org/hs/state/default.as... and click your state to see what is required.

  2. www.HSLDA.org is the best place to start as they will have the laws and requirements for homeschoolers in your state listed.

From there, I would check out A to Z Home's Cool. I don't know the URL off hand, but I'll post it as soon as I have it. In the mean time you can google "A to Z Home's Cool" and it should be the first result. It has information on just about everything there is to know about homeschooling, all the various methods and philosophies, curriculum choices, how to homeschool gifted children, slower children, or even blind homeschoolers like myself, and a good list of other resources to check out. You can even find local homeschool support groups through their website, I believe.

    Good luck

Most states don't require anything from you until 1st grade because K is not mandatory but of course you will want to check the laws for your state.

    Best of Luck!

  4. This site: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regi... will give you the laws for your state.  You may find that kindergarten is not compulsory in your state, in which case you don't need to worry bout legalities until next year.

    All the best.
