Who to pick with 1st overall pick?

Question

I have the first pick overall pick in my MLB Fantasy Draft. Who should I take?

Josh Beckett. Very valuable as a pitcher. For hitters I would say Manny Ramirez. Good BA. average and lots of homeruns =).

If it were me, I'd take Utley.  As said by Funston, he is on pace for .313, 50 hr, 138 rbi, 124 R, 14 SB

Its tough to find an elite 2nd baseman in the league, and he is currently playing the best year of his career.  

Here is the top 5 before the season started and why you probably shouldnt pick them with the first pick right now.

1. Arod- Injury problems all year, will not have even close to the year he had last year

2. Hanley- You could argue that he could be the first overall pick with the way he is playing.  He can hit for power and steal bases, but his .avg is dipping and his RBI total isnt too great because he is the leadoff hitter.

3. David Wright- Struggling right now, and is on an unmotivated Mets team that is having trouble getting on base.  

4. Pujols- Will have injury problems all year, and is currently on the DL for over a month.

5. Matt Holliday- Won't produce the numbers he had last year and is coming off of injury.

Hamilton won't keep up his pace for this year, and Berkman will eventually cool off.  Chipper won't hit .400 all year.

It seems like the only logical choice for your first pick is the future- MVP of the league Chase Utley.

I would have said Chase Utley, especially with how high his production has been at a place you don't find many players that caliber. Go with Utley!

I'd go with Utley, he has been providing phenomenal run production. If Scott Kazmir remains available within the next few rounds I would pick him up aswell, he has been performing astonishingly.
