  1. I got the 1st pick LAST  year

(Due to poor misjudment by the commish) Now i get the LAST pick for winning the league. I took Tomlinson and we know he's going first in my leauge AGAIN!

  2. Your #1 pick needs to carry your fantasy team the entire year and have the best chance to stay healthy all year. He also needs to have a clear production advantage over others at his position.

That leaves you with choosing a running back. While Adrian Peterson might be explosive, he needs to prove he can handle the extra defensive attention, especially considering how pedestrian the offense is he plays in. Add in the fact that he has a history of being injury prone, and you would have a hard time convincing me to take him #1 overall. Stephen Jackson might have a great season, but I'm not sold on the St. Louis offense, and he has a history of injuries that would make it hard for me to take him #1 overall.

The choice is LT. He's proven he can excell over a long period of time. He's durable, and he can carry your fantasy team (he's carried me to a few titles over the years). Take LT #1 and breathe easy before your next pick comes up.

  3. I'd still go with Tomlinson at #1. He's still on the right side of 30 and on a strong offense. I'd be happy with any of the three though.

  4. LT hands down.

Adrian Peterson is very young and as much potential as he's got right now it's unfair to assume he'll automatically do the same thing without struggling in his second year. Cadillac Williams, Reggie Bush, and Kevin Jones were all running backs who got drafted in the first round, had a great rookie season, and followed it up with a disappointing sophomore year. Granted Adrian Peterson looks to be the real deal...but to be safe take LT. You know how good he is already.

Steven Jackson could have a crazy year but consider the injuries, aging o-line, the off-season moves that were made on the offensive side of the ball. Granted his o-line is better (Jacob Bell) but Marc Bulger is a health risk (along with back-up Trent Green) and losing Issac Bruce creates a little more pressure on the running game. Steven Jackson is good...but even at his best sits back seat to LT.

IF you still can't make a decision consider Payton Manning or Tom Brady. Both of them are NEVER injured, have a TON of weapons, a top-5 offensive lines. You could draft one of them and still get a stud running back on the turnaround.

Every year more sleeper running backs get discovered than any other position, meaning a) a stud you draft might go down (last years Larry Johnson) and b) if you play smart in free agency you could nab a top 10-15 guy without even drafting one. Last year Ryan Grant, Earnest Grahamn, and Kenny Watson had great years...none got drafted.

  5. LT should go number one
