I beg your pardon, I should have explained. People were discussing HIV and AIDS on the forum and coincidentally a programme on German television had the same topic. I was amazed at how many married people contracted HIV from their partners.

I can only smile at the people that implied that I am illiterate! Truly, I grinned from ear to ear.

  1. My husband had a vasectomy, much easier than me being on the pill. I hate condoms and see no reason to use them. I know I am safe and so does my husband.

  2. Long term or not  -  better be safe than sorry

  3. My wife can't take the pill, and we've already got two children. Personally, I hate the things, so life can be rather... unrewarding!

Safety from disease is not an issue, but effective contraception is.

Edit: Hopeful, Res's question is not illiterate. The initial question is asked in the third person singular, and is grammatically correct. "Who uses a condom, who is...?"  might have been more elegant, I would agree, but elegance, or its absence, does not make you illiterate.

  4. Smart answer cakes.

I suggest that the apparently illiterate Res never be without a condom for fear that the cause of his illiteracy  possibly lies in his DNA.

  5. I do not have any condoms that are married or in a long term relationship!

One is definitely safer using one than going without any prevention!

  6. Just pull out

  7. I think Grace is safe now. I may be as virile as I was when I was twenty, but the years in the bush have taken their toll, and while my rutting is as that of the great bull elephant, the condom does keep slipping off. It must be a whitey plot.

  8. My husband and I do.  We just aren t ready for more kids yet and I cant take Birth Control

  9. Ag sies, do we really have to go into such depth man?

  10. To a degree like Dental girl I also dont want another kid yet, Reb is a handful and I'm up to my brow trying to keep him in one place as he's intent on walking, at 9 months nog al!

I am quite weary of contraceptives (oral or not) and am not sure I'll ever find one I'm comfortable with. If pregnancy werent an issue, I wouldnt have a problem with that. After a bit of a spat in the past he has regained my trust fully and I know he's smart enough not to jeopordise our lives and leave our child orphaned. Oh, and since I'm a bit psycho at times, I'd kill him before the diseas did.

  11. NO ******* joke ! Twins are a very good argument for birth control and your Doctor is a very personal friend of yours who braais with you every week end but  refuses a snip-snip because you are too young to his likening ! Triphazil is a miracle !

  12. Always have and take birth control. Don't understand why people think birth "control" is actually safe. I know too many people who got pregnant (and some took correctly) while on it. Not planning on having children. Will do this until I get "fixed", which should be soon.
