  1. Toyota:  http://www.safercar.gov/portal/site/safe...

    Volvo:  http://www.safercar.gov/portal/site/safe...

    Both are excellent.

  2. In a head on, the XC90.

  3. My vote goes to the Volvo, always...including the cars. btw...the XC90 is far less likely to roll over than the Toyota because of its standard anti-rollover technology. It actually does work quite well btw. I went to a rolling XC90 car show when it was first released. One of the things they did was take visitors along for a ride to demonstrate the technology by avoiding a life size moose statue at 45mph.

I used to own a Volvo 240 sedan and can attest to the safety value of the car, and mine didn't have airbags. It was rear ended once by an older Ford pickup and no damage was done to the car. I wasn't there but I bet the Volvo and the truck were doing about 35 at the time of the wreck, all caused by a pedestrian who ran right out in the middle of the street....a jaywalker.

  4. Depends on many factors: how fast are they traveling, how did they crash, who was at fault.

  5. The Volvo...............

  6. well it matter if the toyota was parked wrong if it was it was the toyota if the vovo just was driving to fast its his/her falt oh and i think it was the volvo

  7. The Volvo is advertised as the safest car, but weight and size make a lot of difference. If a Volvo gets hit by a Peterbilt, the passengers are in real trouble. I like Toyota Sequoia for size.
