Hi all! Ok 2wks and counting - Yippee! I was wondering who else walks down the asile. I mean, I know the groom would be waiting w/ our pastor while each bridesmaid/groomsman pair walks together then splits to stand on either bride or groom side. But, do mothers walk down the aisle too? If so, do they do it before anyone in the bridal party or do they do it just after the bridal party (but before the flower girl/ring bearer)? Or are they just seated prior to any entrances (wedding is outside if that matters)? And if they are walked down the asile - by who? Lots of questions I know lol... btw I am having a rehersal but the MOG will not be there. Thanks soooo much - wish me luck and help me pray for nice sunny weather :) LOL.

  1. I had the grandmothers walk down the aisle, escorted by ushers, followed by their husbands (not escorted by anyone, just following).

Next, the mothers walked down the aisle, escorted by the ushers, a few minutes before the bridal party. They walked down the aisle and straight up to the stage to light the unity candles, then went and sat in the pew.

  2. Congradulations. Mine is officially 2 weeks and 6 days away... The mothers dont walk down the aisle, they are seated up front.. I will pray for good weather as long as you pray that I dont fall down the winding stairs at my wedding while walking down :) haha. Good luck
