  1. go to sarahpalin.com and ask this question! hillary is best person, though! the others are liars and hypocrttes!

  2. ME........To be more money for ME!

  3. The American people are smart and independent, we do not need a government to manage our lives. As Ronald Reagan said "government is not the solution to our problems it is the cause of them"

I think Conservatives give us the best hope of achieving this. By the way to let you in on a little secret that is why we favor lower taxes and a balanced budget. The less money the government has to work with the smaller it will be and the less intrusive it will be

  4. Who wants small dis functional government? Big business! What party supports big business with tax breaks and no regulation? Republicans!

  5. Me.  The person that would like to bring a smaller government the most would be Ron Paul or Barr, but since I disagree with them on a deal-breaker issue (foreign policy), I'll be voting McCain / Palin.

Elena :))))))), If you really believe what you wrote about abortion and g*y marriage, then you should check out McCain's positions on those on his webpage.  He has not stated an intention to ban either on a federal level.  He wants to overturn Roe vs Wade in order to give the decision back to the states.

  6. That is why we broke away from the British, to get away from "big" government...and now look what we've done, hired ourselves a bunch of tax and spend liberals (congress).....off with their heads I say.

  7. Who is the BEST?

    Hancock of course...Vote Hancock 2010.

Why?  Because wasteful gov't spending and earmarks are frivolous and must be stopped if the economy is going to climb to new heights.  If elected, I plan to do so and use the billions saved to give tax breaks across the board, while shrinking the deficit.

Oh...you mean ACTUAL candidates?  Neither...both of Obama's and McCain's fiscal policies will increase the deficit and naturally, cause the government to grow.

  8. Totally me. I reviewed the Federal Budget for 2008 and found $1.6 Trillion in unconstitutional spending.

If we kept taxes the same but cut those expenses we could pay off the national debt in 8 years... at that point we could drop taxes to a third of what they are now.

  9. I've lived in many countries and there are good points and bad points to a smaller goverment.  The good points include that it's much easier to get things done, but the bad points include that a little bit of corruption goes a long way.  Look at Alaska.  Palin is popular in part because the state government had gotten corrupt and she cleaned house, giving her a big approval rating.  I'm not a Palin supporter, but a small government with lots of money will get some corrupt people into office.  Good thing Palin stayed away from all those earmarks... well except for the $20 million or so she got for her town of Wasilla from Washington.

  10. I think privatizing everything allows for too much corruption and not enough oversight. I want a nice balance between small and big government.

  11. Me!   That was the concept on which this nation was founded....personal freedoms +personal RESPONSIBILITY.

    McCain

Out of the two choices, he is the one who best realizes that entitlements increase governmental intrusion into our lives, governmental control OF our lives, federal bureaucracy and thus federal expenditures.    Additionally, such democratic socialistic entitlement programs promote individual dependency, immaturity and personal irresponsibility  which impacts generations to come.  We are seeing that now with many of the "social programs" of the last waves of democratic socialism our nation has endured.

Neither choice is great, but of the two he is the best in my opinion.

  12. listen all the rep will do is ship our jobs over seas, now that they dont control what government does!... dem will bring our jobs back, and fix the economy

  13. No big-party candidates want a smaller government.

Check out the Libertarian party, the third-largest party in America. Very big on small government and the autonomy of the individual.

  14. Me too. Gov should protect our borders and military. The rest should be left to the people.

  15. ME!

Why? The government ruins everything it touches. It does nothing as well as the private sector except providing for our military.

People think that if the government takes over health care, they will get the kind of service that those of us who pay for our care get. WRONG! It will be the DMV, but instead of just messing with your driving privileges, they will be s******g up your health, maybe even your life.

In order to give something to one group, you have to take it away from another. Some think they should never have to hear words they don't like, so they ask the government to keep other people from having their free speech. Some think that they are somehow more deserving of the money that I earn than I am. They ask the government to take my money from me and give it to them.

Why should the government have that power? Doesn't it seem a little sick? Why can't they do that just within a family? Ok, Tommy, you earned $20 on your paper route while Billy did nothing. Give Billy $10 because he needs some money as well.

Is that what libs teach their children?

The Feds were never supposed to have the powers that they have. Read the constitution.

    .

  16. I want a government of vertically challenge people. Because it would amuse me.

  17. Because I am an American and I take responsibility for me and my family. I do NOT WANT THE GOVERNMENT in my life. Their job is to protect me.

    REPUBLICANS= LESS GOVERNMENT

    DEMS=MORE GOVERNMENT

  18. Smaller government is better when it comes to actually PERSONAL issues such as abortion and g*y rights. Its funny how republicans yell at democrats for wanting to give people FREE health care because they say the government will control your life. But they want to ban abortion and not allow g*y people to get married. Isn't that actually personal compared to universal health care?

  19. Any Government Big enough to give you everything you want can also take it all away..

The reason big government is bad is this They pass many laws that are in most cases ridiculous they say they will protect you and a lot of the times they can't. They say they will help protect us with more security which most of the time is useless due to Complacency. Then the policies passed are not for you an me and the people who follow them become so inhuman that they don't realize that everything in life cannot be followed by what is on a sheet of paper. They follow the Policies to the letter and there is no room for extunuating circumstances.

One other thing to mention is the attacks on the Second Amendment which is one of many that are very important in our Law. With out the Ability to defend ourselves from common criminals in this day and age. We run a risk of relying on Government for protection too much and can over strain the Criminal Justice system. There are many laws in effect in Massachusetts that do anything to make you a criminal such as Going to the bathroom in Public which I think we will all agree is gross and in a civilized society should not stand. However I bring up Extenuating circumstances. What if you are on a highway with no stops and have to go. Well If a trooper catches you and he is by the book and looks at everything black and white then you in Massachusetts will be charged as a level one s*x offender. Its that harsh then you have to register. ANother thing people might say why not just wait till you find a bathroom . Well the law states people do not have to provide a bathroom unless they can Seat 12 people in there facility so the Gas station doesn't have to let you use it and so on. this is just one of many liberal laws that puts simple Citizens who where actually doing no wrong and putting them in prison. With people that deserve to be there.

The FCC which is a terrible infraction on free speech is always saying what can and cannot be said for the simple reason of not offending a select few. Now everything has to be with out this said and until recently was not a big deal however now if you swear in public you can be charged with disturbing the peace and so on for simply using a swear wich is a word that isn't going to hurt anybody but offend them. The laws try to appease so many people On the left and the right extremes that we havePractically become Facist and communist. They tell you how to speak how to talk how to walk. How to behave.

Now we go onto Wiretapping which is a violation of the fourth Amendment again all for the feeling... the Illusion that what they are doing is to keep you safe. However in Britan where this was At first used for security is now being used to see if people are paying there tickets some one was on the phone and admitted guilt to something and was charged. The Charge was for something very minor like going through a red light but this is where it can go and can be abused.

There are so many things that make Big Government dangerous to liberty People say that if we don't the Terrorists win. Well think of this. By enacting these laws and policies for Security the Terrorist have already won  All because we as Americans only stand up for rights if it benefits us. How many people you see who stand up for the Second Amendment that don't own Fire Arms. How many people who choose not to swear do you see defending some one's right to free speech.

We need to Follow the Constitution of these United States because it is setup to help protect against big Government.

We also need to be weary of the banks that seek out to keep us in a never ending cycle of paying a never ending debt.

  20. I want smaller government because I don't think every aspect of our lives needs to legislated and micromanaged as well as taxed.  Why would any one want big government?  That's also just more govt. employees that our tax dollars have to pay for.

I'm voting democrat this time, because I think the republicans are lacking the right leadership...but I do like that Republicans favor smaller government.

I also very much agree with livefree, the Libertarians need to step up to the plate and give us a viable candidate because they have the best philosophies in my opinion.

  21. John McCain.  Because he's not a democrat.  Democrats are pro-big government and anti-corporation.  They like to tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend...

Big government=more Washington bureaucratic red tape.  Why should tax payers be forced to pay the salaries for the do-nothing staffs of politicians?  And by this, I mean, every politician has upwards of 10 assistants.  1 or 2 is fine, but 10?!  What are these people really doing?

John McCain is, like Reagan, a fiscal conservative.  He believes that we should cut out the bureaucracy that is wasting tax payer's money, and give some tax relief to businesses.  I know that rubbing elbows with corporations and letting them off the tax hook might seem a little bit shady with the regular, every day American, but actually it isn't.  These tax breaks help mom and pop operations keep their doors open, thus bringing more money into the economy.

So it is logical to assume that when we have a smaller government, we are better able to see where the taxpayer's money is actually going.

And if you want proof of what a small government and lower taxes can do for an economy, go back to the eighties, during the Reagan years, when many self-made millionaires became a reality.  His successor, GHW Bush, was a tax n**i who ran our country into a d**n recession (he was one of the weirdest Repubs I have ever seen).

  22. I want a smaller government.

I did an analysis recently.  In inflation adjusted dollars, in 2000 we had a federal budget of 2.3 trillion.  This year it's 3.1 Trillion.  OK, so we have a war going on, so let's account for 150 billion difference for that.

That leaves an increased federal gov't of $650 Billion over 8 years ago.  .

Have you seen any improvement in gov't in those 8 years?

I say let's go back to the budget we had just 8 short years ago, adjust it for inflation, population growth and war spending, and then just go with it.  Deficit problem solved!

  23. You will get smaller government with both, as no one could make government bigger than it has been under Bush.

However, if you want government than will actually reform Washington and produce results for Americans, than you must vote Obama. He's the only one who has plans and can be trusted to follow through.

Republicans claim to want smaller government but what they really mean is they don't want to be regulated that way rich people like them can keep getting richer at the rest of the countries expense. However, these claims of small government go out the window when it comes to personal issue. Here they want to monitor and legislate everything we do.

Ultimately, both of these things are about Republican maintaining control of the ignorant masses.

  24. i want to see weed legalized here soon within a couple of years. thats the only time when ill care for the government.

  25. I don't because I have noticed they hand out the power to the corporations. Mc Same want smaller government and bigger Armed Forces which is more money wasted

  26. John McCain.  Smaller government makes us more viable for our own decisions.  We can't have the government handing out money left and right.

  27. I want to go swim with the dolphins, d**n you hurricanes!
