  1. Yes it should be banned, what is the point of people smoking

anyway, they are putting all those Proven toxins into their

bodies, and slowly killing themselves and It is not attractive

it smells its dirty I am a letter carrier and their are times I open

a door and I can tell if their is a smoker or not in that house.

I also hold by breath passing a smoker as well as putting a

piece of cloth up so it covers my nose

  2. Donlt any of you people realise the carnage that drug prohibition causes? Most crimes are in some way linkable to the illegal drug trade. Look at Amstrerdam , most drugs are legal in small quantities and look at Hollands crime statistics - they are really really really low.

Prohibiting cigarettes - which are as addictive as heroin - would create as much crime as the herion black market does, as well as more illegaly produced, contaminated cigarettes which I guranatee would be A LOT more dangerous than the chemicals that are already in cigarettes. Is that what you really want?

  3. Get off your high horse, its already been banned in enclosed spaces, and the government tax smokers way to much as it is. If you dont like smoking, fine dont smoke and dont mix with smokers. The next time you hold your breath try holding it until your dead, do us all a favour.

  4. I do.  It's a disgusting habit.

  5. Being a smoker  i don't think it could ever be banned but i understand not wanting to smell smoke while you are eating so in restaurants i can see why people don't want you to smoke in there but in bars where people go to drink i don't think it should be banned i know  a couple of places they did it and they lost a lot of business. People actually went to another state to drink so they could smoke.

  6. I do.

I also want overeating banned (fat people are disgusting and unhealthy).

I want perfume banned (most people wear too much and the smell makes me physically ill).

And pets should be banned as well, as I am allergic to pet hair and people bring it on their clothes out into public places.

  7. Not Me, I Hate The Smell of Burned Tobacco... I Thought We Inhale Oxygen Then Exhale Carbon Dioxide. Now, Because Of People Being Addicted To Smoking. They Inhale and Exhale Cardon Dioxiode. I'snt That Gross

  8. it would be nice, but you know how politicians love that tobacco money they fund their campaigns with. It'll be nice to see states start banning smoking in public places like NY has.

  9. People that don't believe in the individual's right to choose.

    Only the state knows best......

  10. I do,

I do NOT see the point in still allowing smokes to be sold

Sure, the government earns money off it

but imagine the money saved in hospitals when they won't have all these people in their for cancer and such

    it is purely stupid

and they say the government wants best for our country,

well, selling things that kill us isn't the best!

  11. Banning smoking in public areas? Yeah. Banning smoking altogether. No.  If we banned everything that wasn't good for our health, all we'd have is chicken breast and the produce department at our grocery store....and organized crime would become the norm even in small towns. Our jails would be overflowing and our kids getting shot for trying to make a "carton deal".  Cigarettes aren't worth the risk to our health, but I think history has taught us a thing or two about prohibition.

  12. It actually is banned in all public places in my county. A lot of counties in northern indiana are doing it. You should try an do it in your county. It was a bunch of high school kids who got a petition started here.

  13. me im sick of it the smell the smoke every than about it its nasty  i cant stand being a round it

  14. I am a non smoker who will never start and never ever tried!

I do feel as ideal as smoking bans seem that not everyone follows the rules!  I work at a hospital that had a smoking ban on the hospital properity and yet I have seen a worker from Respitory care who smokes.  I mean of all the oxy-morans!  I do feel that stop smoking classes should be made more available and that they should be super cheap or free!

  15. Don't think it should be banned but you should not be allowed to smoke in public because their may be people around you and don't want smoke it their face

  16. it polutated the environment,it damages the health not only the smoker but at the same time it causes suffocation to others. for chain smokers it is real alarm to them it is something that you are paying hard earned money for your fatal diseases that may take you to premature death......

  17. sure, make them illegal like marijuana

  18. smoking diseases are mythical my whole family including myself smoke and we are perfectly healthy,i for 34 years my dad for46 years and all 4 of my grandparents for 60 plus years not one of us have any problems other then normal old age aches and pains the longevity in my family is 86-110 and all died of just old age and there is over 2000 members in my family so the mighty cigarette is not the cause of the supposen deadly diseases stop listening to the media and democratic propaganda of how smoking is bad for you

  19. I want it banned. People that smoke at work use over eight hours a week standing around outside to smoke while their co workers are inside working. That is a whole days pay they use to smoke.

  20. I am not a smoker, but I do not agree with a ban on it. I think there should be a restriction on where smokers can smoke however. I think the law on smoking should be a lot like how the law on indecent exposure is. There should be designated places where people can smoke without being harmful to non-smokers. They cannot smoke with children in the same car, or household or they can be convicted of child abuse.

Bars, clubs, and etc should have the choice on whether to ban smoking or not. In the restaurant I work at, the smoking section has four tables, as opposed to fifty non smoking. This makes the wait a lot longer.

I have nothing against smokers, it is their choice, their pleasure. I have my own that other people may not agree on. Just don't do it where it starts negatively effecting other people.

  21. Not me.  I have given up smoking, but smokers now pay huge taxes on their cigarettes.  The more tax they pay, the less tax I need to pay.

    I am grateful to them.

  22. ME! Smoking killed my Grandpa.....I LOVE U Grandpa T!

  23. Smoking, like the lottery, is a big revenue source for governments.  Each is a voluntary tax on stupidity.  These are the taxes I like, because these are the taxes I don't have to pay.

  24. Not me -- I puff in your general direction.

  25. I do.  I went to San Diego where they banned smoking in restaurants, clubs, etc.  Not only was it more fun to go out dancing and eating, but I felt like I could stay at the clubs longer because the smoke wasn't getting to me or burning my eyes!

  26. Yep. And after we take away the civil rights of the smokers we should move on to cars for the exhaust fumes, then the fast food stores for the amount of cholesterol and finally we should ban all dangerous sports or activities. After we have wrapped the world in cotton wool and taken all the enjoyment out of live we can then all live to be 150 and stagger around the room in crippling pain due to arthritis setting in at the age of 60. Do you really want a world where you live to be in your hundreds and in return give up all the fun aspects of life? If you do then go for it but remember that it's not just smoking that kills people.

  27. smoking outdoors still is harmful, especially in a country like Malta where I live, where in Summer sometimes we do not have even a slight breeze but just dry hot weather. I do not want to degrade my health for the pleasure of someone else

  28. I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. i would like all indoor smoking banned.. but people are people everyone has habits though..

  30. i want smoking to be banned for good, and by banned i mean:

    tobacco factories not licensed

    smoking banned inpublic places

drafting laws for penalizing smokers and tobacco manifactureres

because of the simple following reasons:

we are born non smokers, then some start to smoke due to their hard life conditions believing in the instant non lasting make believe relief smoking gives them (sometimes its for just like u said looking all cool), which does not give them on the long term any solutions, on the contrary it damages their both, mental and physical health and those around them.

so why should there be cigarettes in the first place?

by the way they are producing electronic cigarettes now.

smoking has its own culture now.

  31. It definately should be cut down slowly, but not banned. Then we'd have a lot of illegal smoking going on.
