Who wants the Toronto Maple Leafs to do bad this year?

I personally want the Toronto Maple Leafs to do bad this year, I am cheering for them to lose, I want them to come last place in the league. This is because then if they do come close to last they have a good chance of getting the first overall pick, and then they can draft John Tavares, who would make a good franchise player to build a team around so the Leafs can do good in a few years. What are your thoughts, is it possible?

I could care less they are an irrelevant team every year so if they do worse than mediocre Im not for it or against it.

Well I think your wish just might come true.  I'm not saying they're going to deliberately lose but the new mascot is an Abraham's M1A1.

It doesn't mater what the Leafs do this year. They'll s***w it up somehow...you can bet on it. By the way, John Tavares is not exactly what every one thinks he IS/WAS...the scouts are starting to have a second look at him....he went from 72 goal to 40 goals...whats happening next year??

No I actually like where they have been finishing the past three years or so because they don't make the playoffs and are not bad enough to get the 1st overall draft. Sorry that I do not agree with you but it works out for the Buffalo Sabres.

I totally agree.... I hope the Leafs literally tank this year! But I mean they have to do the worst. They can't finish third or forth worst because we wouldn't get nothing! But if they do horribe then we have nothing to worry about!

I don't wish for any team to do horribly besides the Calgary Flames, to all my boys in Edmonton. I'm not gonna wish for them to do bad, but they will do bad with or without Sundin.

I really don't mind the Toronto Maple Leafs don't really watch them but when I do their not so good and I haven't heard of players that have been sign to that team that are really good.  I mean if they good Hossa maybe they would of been better but Hossa wants to be a Red Wing for a year.

I want the Leafs to do horrible this year, but i don't want them to be the worst. I want them to be like the third or fourth worst, so they won't get Tavares. I just don't like the Leafs at all, since I'm a Flyers fan. I've hated the Leafs since I was 6.

i don't see them doing bad this year they have made some good deals during off-season and have a head coach that can coach. Niklas Hagmen can help on the penalty kill and a great defenceman like Jeff finger is great defence to help out the team

Before we all head out and jump on the Tavares bandwagon. Can anyone tell me the last time a first drafy pick lead his team to a Stanley Cup. Think about it It is coming along as a question soon.

too bad they can't draft Travares AND win the Stanley Cup. If they do great this year (like I hope) they don't really need Travares. By the way jesse, I am totally cheering against the flyers.

Well, Im a Colorado Fan, and recently, the avs and the leafs have been making a bunch of deals, including finger, raycroft, and tucker. I think the leafs are going to suck, because joe sakic is probably going to retire, and sundin is probably going to the avalanche. Raycroft sucks too
