I wouldn't mind doing it.  I bet that will be a profitable venture for whoever wins the contract.

Well having worked up in Alaska I can tell you that the ONLY people who's opinion should matter on this subject (Alaskans) want to drill for oil. As for who will drill once approval is finally granted, probably the same companies that are already up on the North Slope drilling now.

Congress will sell the rights to allow oil companies to bid on access to drill. No different than when the gov't sells access to airwaves for cell phones, radio and ect.
