I just think it's interesting. Did she have ties to McClennan Co. Waco, etc? How old was she? Was Charlie Parker her father?

I know,a lot of questions here.

  1. I actually work on this family tree.

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker b. 10/1/1910 in Rowena, Runnels, TX was the daughter of Charles Parker and Emma Krause.

She died 5/23/1934 in Bienville Parrish, Bienville, Louisianna.

She had been married to Roy Thornton.

In 1920 she lived in Cement, Dallas County, TX and you can see her on the census for this year. Her mom's a widow at this time (she didn't die until 1968 in Galveston TX).

She had brothers named Coley (died of crib death), and Herbert and a sister named Billie Jean.

The rumor of the 1/2 sister came out of a wanted poster but hasn't been substantiated.

  2. I don't know about any half sister, but her father was Charles Parker who died about 1914.

  3. Neither "The Handbook of Texas Online" nor Ancestry.com lists a half-sister for Bonnie Parker. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (1910-1934) was the second of three children born to Charles Walter Parker, a bricklayer who died in 1914, and Emma Krause, a seamstress, in Rowena, Texas, an unincorporated village in Runnels County, Texas, settled by Czechs and Germans who had originally lived in Central Texas.  Ancestry.com lists an older brother, Hubert (b. 1907), a truck driver, and a younger sister, Billie Jean (1912-1993).  Apparently, a 1934 wanted poster lists Nellie Gonzales, of Gonzales County, as a half sister.

The only reference I can find about Waco, McLennan County, Texas, concerning these legendary outlaws is that Clyde Barrow was first arrested here.  I've never heard any other stories linking Bonnie and Clyde to the Central Texas area, and I'm a Waco native who has lived here most of my life.

BTW, the Yahoo! Answers spell checker doesn't correctly spell the county in which Waco is located.  It's correctly spelled "McLennan".

    P. S. I just google the names Emma Krause and Bonnie Parker and discovered that Bonnie Parker's maternal grandparents were living in McLennan County in 1900.
