Lee Westwood, already Europe's No. 1 golfer, won his third European Tour Golfer of the Year award in 2009. Westwood previously won the Golfer of the Year award in 1998 and 2000, and this latest accolade brings the Nottinghamshire-born golfer level with Seve Ballesteros, Ernie Els and Sir Nick Faldo, each of whom has also been awarded the achievement on three occasions. If Westwood can win again, he'll match Colin Montgomerie, the only player thus far to boast four of the awards.
