  1. Who was his name?? His name does James

  2. James I of England and VI of Scotland became King of England upon Elizabeth's death.  As the only son of Mary the  I of Scotland and Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley, who were both descendants of Margaret Tudor, Henry VIII's sister, he had a double claim to the English throne.

James was never King of France, although before Mary married Lord Darnley, she was briefly Queen of Francois II of France.

  3. james

he became the king after elizabeth died

    and served as james I

  4. His name was James, and he was King James VI of Scotland and, later, King James I of England.  He then (from 1603, when Elizabeth I died) ruled England, Scotland and Ireland for 22 years, until his death at the age of 58.

He was the son of Mary and Lord Darnley, who was a handsome man but a very nasty piece of work. James became King of Scotland on July 24, 1567, at the age of 13 months, after his mother Mary, Queen of Scots was forced to abdicate. Mary fled to England, where she was imprisoned for the next 19 years. His father, Lord Darnley, had died in mysterious circumstances shortly after James was born.

(Mary was buried in Peterborough Cathedral after her execution, but in 1612 her son James VI and I had her body exhumed and placed in the vault of King Henry VII's Chapel in Westminster Abbey.)

  5. James Charles was the only child of Mary, Queen of Scots and her second husband, Henry Stuart, Duke of Albany, commonly known as Lord Darnley. He was a descendant of Henry VII through his great-grandmother Margaret Tudor, elder sister of Henry VIII. James was born on 19 June 1566 at Edinburgh Castle, and as the eldest son of the monarch and heir-apparent, automatically became Duke of Rothesay and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland. Elizabeth I of England, as godmother in absentia, sent a magnificent gold font as a christening gift.

James VI and I (19 June 1566 – 27 March 1625) was King of Scots as James VI, and King of England and King of Ireland as James I. He ruled in Scotland as James VI from 24 July 1567, when he was only one year old, succeeding his mother Mary, Queen of Scots. On 24 March 1603, as James I, he succeeded the last Tudor monarch of England and Ireland, Elizabeth I, who died without issue. He then ruled England, Scotland and Ireland for 22 years, until his death at the age of 58.

  6. Mary queen of Scots was a cousin of Elizabeth I. Her son was named James and after Elizabeth died childless, he became James I, king of England, Scotland and France [as its styled I think].

Many of Elizabeth's ideas and reforms were physically implemented by James after her death.
