  1. A psychologist who conducted a famous experiment regarding obedience.  It basically involved one participant giving another participant electric shocks of increasing voltage.  The shocks were actually fake, and the recipient was an actor employed by Milgram, but the participants were unaware of this and the majority gave what they thought were painful electric shocks despite the actor pleading for them to stop.


  2. He did the Milgram experiment to test the theory that n**i soldiers would execute Jews because someone in authority told them to, which was what many claimed.  

    Ya know, if you just Googled this instead of asking it here, you'd get all the information you'd ever want including video of the experiment.  Trust me on this... I teach sociology in college.
