Who was Tom Shaw Catty?

Please excuse the spelling as I am not sure if it is correct but he was welsh and possibly a folk hero? Any information on him and with any corrct spelling would be a great help...thanks

his name was Twm Sion Cati (Tom Shaw Catty is the typical english bastardization grr) and as far as i know he was just your run-of-the-mill folk hero. he was a highwayman, a rather good one if alls told, then as always becomes with these people, he became victim to romanticism and ended up a hero.

His name was Twm Sion Cati, and he was also known as Thomas Jones.He lived from 1530 to 1620 and was a highway man. He's known as the Welsh Robin Hood, but while he supposedly stole only from the rich, there is no evidence of him giving to the poor.

He was an educated man; different from the standardized drunk, stupid rogue highway man and treated his victims kindly.
