  2. Saint Veronica was a pious woman of Jerusalem who, moved with pity as Jesus carried his cross to Golgotha, gave him her veil that he might wipe his forehead. Jesus accepted the offering and after using it handed it back to her, the image of His face miraculously impressed upon it.

  3. She was the one who wiped the face of Jesus  on the way to the crucifixion. The imprint of His face was left on the towel.

    It is the name given to the woman who took pity on Jesus and wiped his face with a cloth on His way to Calvary.  The cloth  bore the image of Jesus from His bleeding face
