Who was a better player: Gabriela Sabatini or Jana Novotna?.?

I always enjoyed watching Jana Novotna and Sabatini, even though they probably underachieved some. But when you compare them, who was better?. Here are some stats to consider:

2. Sabatini and Jana each own a Grand Slam title. Jana won the 1998 Wimbledon Crown, and Sabatini upset Steffi to win the 1990 US Open.

6. Jana and Sabatini had fairly long careers. Sabatini played for 11 years, and Jana played 12 years on tour.

Comparing the stats, I would give a slight edge to Sabatini in singles, but Jana gets the huge edge in doubles. Compare them, and tell me who you think was the better player?. And why?.

Even though Jana was a talented player she was known as somewhat of a head case by blowing a few big matches where she had huge leads.

The luck of the draw could've contributed to how far they went in a tournament. One might've had tougher opponents than the other.

Head to head Sabatini was 10-3 over Novotna.Sabatini also won bigger non grandlam events such as Miami, Rome, and the season ednding championships so I think I would say Sabatini was better.
