Following a debate with friends, i thought i'd put this out there. Who was best? Brisbane of 2002, West Coast of 2005, or Geelong of current day?

  1. All the numbers say the Cats of last year.  The only team comparable for one season recently were the baby bombers.  The next three weeks will decide if the Cats this year are better than the Cats last year.  So far their numbers are better.

For longevity the Lions of 02-04 (was it) and West Coast through the nineties were good, but they don't compare at all with the Collingwoods and Carltons of the 50's and 60's (perhaps Eagles go closest).  Footy communism has probably put an end to teams being dominant for decades at a time.

  2. Brisbane 2002 - they beat Collingwood d**n it!!

  3. Last years grand final was a piece of cake for the cats. No competition at all. It was so boring. The preliminary games were heaps better. West coast won by a point, yeah? It was an awesome game to watch but I think i'll have to go with brisbane because they beat the collingwood. haha

  4. I  would go for brissy they were just poetry in motion but I'm a bit biased being a lions surporter

  5. Essendon in 2000

were all surprised by the loss in 2001 lozz

  6. I'd have to say Brisbane of 2001, 2002 and 2003! In recent times, they have been the most dominant team. Geelong will be right up there if they win more premiersships while they can (we can't really compare them until their reign is over, lol). Don't forget Essendon of 2000, they were a very dominant side, I'm surprised they didn't beat the Lions in 2001.

I agree with Lachlan  W on that one =)

  7. ill put in a new 1 collingwood of 1927-30  4 premiership's in a row, no one can beat that

  8. It would have to be Geelong, not only because I am a Geelong supporter, but last year they had so many achievements in the club like, Rising Star, Brownlow, etc. They are also the most versatile team, and they are on track to win back to back premierships.

    GO CATS!

  9. Hawthorn of the eighties, weren't they in like nine grand finals or something ridicules like that.
