Who was best ? the stranglers or the s*x pistols?

The original Stranglers were the finest!! I followed them on a couple of tours in the late 70's & early 80's. A really underated band if ever there was one!. ...New line up is not the same without Hugh Cornwell!.... He's a sh*t actor though eh? ..The s*x Pistols had their place too though,,,not a patch on the Men in black though!.....said though alot dont I though!

s*x Pistols without a doubt! Their "devil may care" attitude spoke to millions.

Stranglers without a doubt. The s*x pistols were pretty one dimensional in their musical output and were more of a marketing spin than a success because of good music.

The Stranglers had many facets to their music and were excellent musicians as well. Their longevity goes someway to proving their popularity. If this could be a measure of who was best then the Stranglers have it.
