Who was better, Ann Landers or Dear Abby?

Regretfully, they both now belong to the ages and are being written by other. Which of the twins (yes, they were actually twins) did you prefer?

I liked both, but I liked Ann Landers better. To me, she put more compassion, thought and feeling into her answers, and I liked her sense of humor. I miss her.

I liked them both equally, but when I was struggling with being g*y back in the early 80s I appreciated Ann's willingness to address sexual concerns [including g*y ones] more than her sister.  But I also appreciated Abby's advice on common sense issues, etiquette, etc.

I can't recall who's writing Ann's column now, but Abby's daughter is doing a terrific job continuing her mother's column.

I preferred Ann Landers, for the sole reason that it was her column that appeared in my local newspaper.

It was not until her death, that her sisters column appeared, and by that time the column was being written by Abby's daughter.
