    He was italian, moved in U.S. where invented the so called "teletrofono ". Under finacial problem he was not able to extend its temporary patent and afterward he did not have enought money to "fight" against Bell, which patent claimed the invention of the telephone.

    In 2002 the U.S. Congress recognized the true inventor of the telephone: Antonio Meucci.
