  1. I am

  2. mike austin hit longest(515 yards) in tournement play  In the 1974 United States National Seniors Open Championship (predecessor to the Senior PGA Open), at the age of 64

  3. Mike Austin

  4. Boo Weekley? He's currently ranked 60th on the pga tours driving distance average. Great Ball-Striker though. If you want length, look at some guys like J.B. Holmes and Bubba Watson, who's AVERAGES are 307 and 312. They have both cranked 385+ drives this season.

  5. corey pavin/greg barbosa

  6. what about tripp einsenhower? and "googie", John Daily was maybe, for like 2 tournaments the longest driver on tour. It was basicly allways bubba waston, but John Daily had the goofy swing, thats how he got famous.

  7. Are we talking in a tournament here or just smacking a ball as far as possible.  Old man Jemsek (now deceased) who owned Cog Hill won a contest back in the thirties where he hit it like 430 yards, but it was off the top of a ski jump or something. Pinnacle has these guys on the long drive tour that crush it over 400 all the time using extra long clubs and hard as rock balls, but I don't think they can putt.  You need to realize that golf isn't about how far you hit the ball, it is about HOW MANY TIMES you hit it.

  8. from what i've heard from the grapevine, it's anybody using a sasquatch.

  9. First was Walter Hagen. Then came Lawson Little. Followed by Sam Snead, surpassed by Jack Nicklaus succeeded by John Daly, supplanted by Boo Weekley. Newer players on the tour hit longer, but don't know their names.
