Who was it several years ago that had the bad choke?

It wasn't Phil mickelson but the guy had like a 2 shot lead on the 72cd hole and he hit the ball into the water then had another bad shot which ended with him losing.

Jean Van de Velde.  It literally hurts to watch that.

Frenchman Jean Van de Velde.  Knocked it in the water on 18 and that was just the begining of some bad decisions he made to blow the tournament.

It was Jean Van De Velde.  Watching him play that 72nd hole from the 2nd stroke was like watching a novice playing on a muni course.

Yup, it's Jean Van de Velde at the British Open.

But the worst choke in a major could have been Greg Norman's at the Masters where he was leading by 6 shots, that's a 33% advantage at the start of the round!  All he had to do was play par  and hoped that Faldo shoots himself out of the finals.  It was difficult enough for Faldo to shoot 66 for a playoff.
