Who was it that first served the American Twist?

While we are still in the tennis mood,there is another tennis question but i'm too lazy to Google it so perhaps you can tell me. There is the second serve which is slower and is called..topspin...kick serve or 'American Twist'. Was it an American or a Dutchman that first served the American Twist?

Jack Kramer...maybe not,  Bill Tilden was known to use the kicker and he was before Kramer.
