when Brett came back I thought that was selfish of him. He already won a super bowl and broke all of these records. now i hope the rest of his career doesn't go that well.

  1. agree...   thats all that needs to be said... he is ruining his rep.

  2. a lot of the great athletes do that. they break the records and thenn return for thhat special golden year. thats when your playing as a legend. roger clemens did it, joe gibbs, and rocky did it.lol. but a lot of athletes do that.

  3. Sorry but if ur a football player and thats ur career then its probably realy hard to walk away specialy when ur team uve played for 4 16 seasons is pushing u to walk away then what are u supposed to do. U shouldnt wish that on anybody! Hes totally justified in wanting to come back!

  4. I don't think anybody saw the situation playing out the way it did. I was not all that surprised, because I knew the day he retired that it wouldn't last long. It's really sad to see the situation go down like it did, because he ruined his legacy.

  5. I've been a Favre fan up until the last few years with all this retirement stuff. He's really acted like a spoiled little kid thru all this. I'll bet he's in disbelief the Packers didn't give in to everything he wanted. If I were Aaron Rodgers I would hate his guts.

  6. I wasn't that mad. I can see why he wanted to come back. He probably got the urge to come back when they started talking about football again and NFL camps started. Think about it he has been doing to same thing for almost 20 years and then he is just suddenly going to stop? Especially because he came off one of his best seasons last year. Maybe he thought he could still do good and win another Superbowl?

  7. How is he selfish? He wanted to play football again? That was a stupid and ridiculous question. Thumbs down.

  8. Every Packer fan who liked Brett Farve now hates the guy. We supported him so much and gave him that great retirement. Tearful speech and everything and what does he do... slaps us in the face. Yeah i'm retired ... doh just kidding! I hope he screws up.

  9. For starters, Favre was not pressured into retirement.  He WAS pressured to make a decision on such by draft time, so that the Packer organization knew what it had to do in the draft.  Favre chose to retire, and shortly thereafter changed his mind.  The Packer organization told him he would be welcome back, and management flew to Favre's house to speak about it and work out the details.  By the time they got to Favre's he had changed him mind AGAIN, and decided that he should stay retired.

At that point, Packer management moved forward, anointed Rodgers as the new starting QB, and drafted QB's accordingly.  WAY after that, Favre AGAIN changed his mind, and expected the Packers to somehow swallow what they had done, and change their routine and roster to fit him in.  Management balked at that.

I was unhappy to see him retire, but I expected him to stick to his word and keep his yap shut.

  10. Not me, if he wants to play he should play. He was probably pressured into retiring so soon in the first place.

  11. Let him play !!! GO JETS !!!

  12. Ted Thompson...the GM of the packers, and ultimatly is the reason he is not playin for the packers.....
