  1. Which President Bush? George H. W. Bush, or the present President, George W. Bush? I know very little about Pinochet, but the word Clever doesn't, in my mind, doesn't exactly describe either Bush.

  3. I would say, neither. Both Pinochet and Bush (senior and junior) were not clever; they were sly. Slyly accomplishing what they couldn't do in the open. Slyly gaining the peoples trust. Slyly remaining in power.
