Soriano turned an extra-base hit into a single by watching his "home run" instead of running; Bueno was ejected for "punishing" Soriano by throwing at his head.

  1. I am a Cubs fan, and I don't condone what Soriano did the slightest bit. I hate it when hitters pose at the plate, even if it's a player on the Cubs.

At the same time, I think Bueno was more foolish. Regardless of what happens, you DO NOT throw at someone's head. Throw at their ribs or legs, but never their head.

    They were both foolish though.

  2. Definitely Soriano. Soriano embarrassed himself, disrespected the game and disrepected the pitcher. Bueno was just saying "you disrespect me, you get yourself in trouble."

I recently listed the Cubs at #2 or #3 on my list of favourite teams, so I'm not some hater - I like them a lot and have done so for a long time (30+ years). I just can't tolerate this bush league c**p from Soriano or anyone else.

  3. I think they were both foolish. Probably more Bueno than Soriano, even though I am a Braves fan. Bueno was sent down to the minors and now he has a 3 game suspension that will be started as soon as he is called back up. This is not good for a player that is only barely good enough to be on a big league roster. They aren't going to want to call him back up if they have to waste a roster spot for 3 days to use him. Soriano hits the ball well enough this stupid mistake will be forgotten soon enough.
