    1. First, your aircraft description is wrong.  The two aircraft involved were a MD DC-9-32 and a Piper PA-28 Cherokee.

The pilot of the DC-9 was First Officer Jose Valencia (unsure of spelling) and the Piper pilot was William Kramer (unsure of spelling).

    2. The aircraft in this incident were a Boeing 727-214 and a Cessna 172.  The pilots of the 727 were Capt. James McFeron,  First Officer Robert Fox and Flight Engineer Martin Wahne.  The pilot of the Cessna at the time of the accident was David Boswell.

  2. does this link have the info u rqd???

    http://www.airdisaster.com/special/speci...

  3. You can look up the accident report on the NTSB web site at: http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/month.asp

You can search by year, month, and date.  The report is on there web site.  After you find the correct month and date you can order the complete accident files from the NTSB.  The contact information is:  NTSB decisions handbook (202)267-3137.

I have order several myself and use them in training programs I give.

  4. MID AIR COLLISIONs are NOT always pilots mistakes by far. When you are crusing in Bravo or Alpha Airspace, Pilots have a LOT to do then just turning on the autopilot.  Most MACs are ATCs mistake as they fail to keep the safe distance between the aircrafts.

I think I am right as long as Pilots know English language.

  5. Cerritos was a DC-9, not a DC-10.
