  3. "Ma" Barker was born Arizona Donnie Clark,Oct. 8, 1873 in Ash Grove,MO. She married George Barker Sept. 12, 1892 In Aurora, Lawrence,MO, and had 4 sons:Herman,Lloyd,Arthur (Doc) and Fred. Her husband, a reputed drunkard, left shortly after Fred was born. "Ma" is reputed to have been the head of the gang, but police experts say she was more of an accomplice and enabler, rather than  a mastermind. They committed a string of robberies and kidnappings. On January 16th,1935, at Lake Weir,FL,(near my home, there's an re-enactment every year) "Ma" and Fred were killed in a shootout with the FBI.

  4. "Ma Barker" was a notorious criminal. Go to Wikipedia and type in Ma Barker.
