In the summer of 2005, I found this aritcle from a newspaper about a young married couple who went to Beverly Hills to an expensive restaurant called like "Bistro" something and their names were I think Earl and Laura Sugges and this article really disgusted me. It said that they ordered this VERY expensive wine called "Patinum Heaven" I think, and they bought rounds for themselves and everyone in the whole freakin' restaurant to celebrate their wedding, and they didn't know how much it was and no one told them how much it was, they just assumed it wasn't that expensive, and then when they got the bill with all those pitchers of wine, they found out it was about $50,000, which is just about exactly what they had saved up for their futures so they were suddenly broke and the husband was so shocked, he fainted in the restaurant.

So, who was in the wrong? The restaurant and those people they bought drinks for for not telling them how much it was, or their fault for being ignorant?

  1. It was their fault for being ignorant.  They should have asked how much the wine was.  They went to an expensive restaurant.  What did they expect?  In fact, the restaurant probably figured they had the money for it if they were ordering that much.  I know better.  I wouldn't even go into the bar and buy a round of cheap beer for everyone.

  2. i would have to say it's the couple's fault.. you have to make sure what you're getting yourself into, and if you are going to a place that you know is expensive, you would have to assume that most of the things they serve there are expensive.. and buying drinks for everyone?? they offered to buy, and if you offer to buy, you better be aware how much that thing that you're offering to buy costs. i know you're celebrating and all, but  you need to save too, because you have to start planning for your future.

  3. It's their fault for being ignorant and acting like hot shots buying everyone in the fricken restaurant some. They shouldn't of assumed it wasn't expensive.
