  1. Russia acted to protect it's citizens. What shouldn't have happened was Georgia attacking and bombing south ossetia. But like all anti-Russia people you "forgot" about that fact.

  2. Well then Georgia shouldn't have provoked Russia. It was Georgia backed by US that attacked S.O., Russia in turn retaliated.

No US attacking Iraq or Israel invading Lebanon would be similar to Iraq invading Kuwait. See that was the reason when Bush said, "Bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century", he became the laughing stock around the world.

S.O.'s have Russian citizenship, they have been independent for 17 years now, they have made it abundantly clear they want nothing to do with Georgia. Rather they hate Georgia, as it wasn't the first time Georgia slaughtered them. So Kosovo suddenly had the right to be independent but S.O. suddenly doesn't!

Yet US is still trying to provoke another cold war. US is deliberately trying to enclave and neutralize Russia. Armed and aided Georgia. Trying to control Eurasia, trying to put a defense shield in Poland. Trying to control Caspian OIL.  The fact is there simply is no need for Imperial expansion in that region and hence provoke another cold war.

US is trying to pay for increasing cost of Iraq war by borrowing money from China, cost thus far is over half a trillion. So the money for the next war is going to come from . . . . ??? The fact is Russia is not a villain b/c it retaliated, which it was suppose to do, BUT how dare they challenge US might! I think it's time for US to get it's own house in order. Lets do something about rapidly declining economy first!

"By declaring the Caucasus, a region that is thousands of miles from the American continent, a sphere of its 'national interest,' the United States made a serious blunder."
