  1. kerry strug

  2. It was Shun Fujimoto. It was actually a broken knee, which he also dislocated after jumping off the rings. From what I remember, Japan won the team competition with one of the narrowest scorelines in the history of gymnastics (less than a point).

  3. Mary Lou Retton

  4. Kerri Strugg and I believe it was only a bad sprain.  (It still looked horribly painful.)  Video link below.

  5. In 1996 at the Atlanta games Kerri Strug hurt her leg on her first vault but the coaching staff felt she needed to hit her second vault to win the gold. So for the team she tried her second vault as well. She hit it, had to be carried off, Bela Karolyi carried her to the awards podium, and the rest is history.

(Later, it was discovered that they could have won the gold without her second vault)

    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy!
