  1. This is in response to O'Really's response.

    It is true that the Marines do come under the Department of the Navy. However, John Glenn was not in the Navy. He was trained as a Marine and wore a Marine uniform. No Marine is going to tell you that he is in the Navy.

    John Glenn was the first American in orbit, not the first in space.
