A Collingwood rookie nabbed by the police for p!ssy driving!

Some Victorian Traffic safety organization have now pulled the pin on the club because of it.

Collingwood players in trouble at pubs or with alcohol? I wish I was as sure of winning the lotto as i am that it will happen again, real soon.

I'm waiting to hear what method Steady Eddie uses to sweep this incident under the carpet with the least fuss as possible.

  1. I think the TAC should just give up trying to sponsor ANY team - its such a contradiction.

There is no way Eddie can sweep this under the carpet when its made headlines everywhere - not even Eddie is THAT good!

Good 'ol Collingwood coming thru with another scandal..gotta love 'em!

  2. it was a rookie

  3. sean rusling?

  4. wellingham, some 19 year old, Simon Taylor and buddy Franklin were in the car with this young fellow from WA, 500,000 it cost collingwood, i would of turfed him out on his ear. how can a club, any club afford to lose that sort of cash..

Eddie stuck to his word and let the sponsor ship go, but why is it collingwood players in the news???, maybe we dont hear about every one but it still shouldnt happen, they are educated over and over about this sort of stuff.

  5. Well, I wonder if the rookie gets shafted or hang around like the other drunks in the club (Didak)

  6. bahahaha

  7. I saw it on the news tonight. Young blokes will be young blokes. They will continue in numbers to get caught for these type of offences.

I had a laugh though when as an excuse it was claimed that he only intended moving the car somewhere else in the car park to avoid a parking fine. Why did he take two passengers to accompany him just to do that? Oh well, those who wish to believe that story will do. Good luck to them.

Anyway I bet plenty of people are happy that it was a Collingwood player & not one of theirs.

  8. Sharrod Wellingham, basically eddie jumped before they were pushed

  9. Agree with truthful, why did all the others pile into the car just to move it a small distance.

You would have thought that Sharrod, as part of his weight training could have pushed the car to another spot, to avoid a parking ticket.

Eddie should let Sharrod know who is the boss, rather than letting the kid call the shots.

I'm afraid the senior players at Collingwood will have no respect for Sharrod, and he will be lucky to get a kick when the season starts up. This will be another player moving to another club because he can't settle, after this negative media exposure.

  10. It was a young rookie named Sharrod Wellingham.

He is a very talented youngster, I go and watch Williamstown(Collingwood Reserves) a lot because i know someone who plays there.

He is like 180cm midfield type, will get games in the NAB for sure i reckon this year.

  11. welligham

  12. I don't know who it was, yet. All I know it is a rookie & yes, some sponsorship has been withdrawn.

But don't hold your breath waiting for a Collingwood supporter to supply you with information. They go into denial when incidents like this happen.

  13. Sharrod Wellingham moved Buddy Franklins car 150 metres to avoid a Parking fine, but copped the biggest fine in history, losing a $500,000 sponsorship for Collingwood .    He must be well considered as a player by the Pies to be retained .

  14. Why on earth would Collingwood have the TAC as a sponsor anyway ?It's bound to fail for the simple reason that young blokes get on the juice as part of their recreation.

I'm not saying it's right, wrong, or otherwise, just stating the facts.

$500-000 was certainly a big amount to kiss goodbye.

Eddie mentioned that the club will have to tighten their belts, in the finance department.

Well holy s**t, I bet Eddie doesn't take a pay cut.

It will probably be one of the lowly paid cleaners, or jumper washers that will be given the flick.

Gee Eddie I think people can see through the bull dust without him holding the rookies' hand at a press interview.

Other clubs would probably off load the rookie for being the cause of losing a top sponsor.

And to think, the season hasn't even commenced. What are they going to be doing at Collingwood when the show gets on the road.

  15. It appears the Collingwood club has a real problem with their players & alcohol.

I know other clubs & players have their moments but Collingwood is way ahead of the rest of the teams.

It must have something to do with the club culture; end of season trips etc.
