Who was the Moon Goddess?

Wasn't it Selene, with her silver moon chariot, and rode it across the night sky?

Im just wondering cuz I have a liking towards cultures and mythology...ect

    the moon goddess. I just wanted to add that I also

    really love to study the history of ancient religion in the

    Mediterranearn area... I recommend when you study

    about it, you keep historical facts seperate from the

    mythology.

    While mythology is very colorful, it is only fiction...

    on the other hand understanding the real lives of the

    ancient people and the ways they worshipped is

    also very interesting, in a somewhat different way.
