  1. In my lifetime Ronald Reagan, unified germany, won cold war, improved economy, tax breaks, restored confidence to the American People.

  2. Id guess Washington,Lincoln, and Bill Clinton

  3. Reagan kicked butt. They'll probaby never be another as great.

  4. George Washington--he is in a league of his own; not just because he is the 'Father of Our Country', but more importantly, because he and I have the same birthday.

Fiscally, I would say FDR, who saved the US economy post-depression, or Reagan, who brought us back from the economic disaster that was Jimmy Carter.

Socially, I would say Lincoln (Emancipation Proclamation & 13th Amendment) or Kennedy for his involvement in civil rights causes including de-segregation of schools, and proposing what became The Civil Rights Act of 1964.

**I think too much credit is given to Clinton--The main reason the economy was prosperous during his administration was because of the Republican congress led by Newt Gingrich, along with tax cuts and a booming dot com industry

  5. good question.

i say, without a doubt, franklin delanor roosevelt

-he served 3 of the toughest terms.

-he got us out of a huge depression by coming up with brilliant new ideas and optimism which saved our country

-he propelled us through world war 2 and once again, saved our country

-he created social security and many other healthcare breakthroughs that are still used today

-he brought about change by actually changing the ways of government. he made things fair and corruption was limited

and through it all, he was crippled and confined to crutches and a wheelchair. now thts a great president

  6. Lincoln.

  7. Not Ronald Reagan.

  8. EASY   Lincoln

  9. The best thing Reagan ever did was sleep.  He was a figurehead for people responsible for a lot of the instability in today's world.  Without question the American People VOTED FDR the best with a record four terms, that would have even been more had his health permitted.  JFK held a lot of promise, but was assassinated before the proof fell one way or the other.  Eisenhower was a good president, despite the crook he had for a VP and the inevitable post-war recession and his inability to see a sensible Asian policy.  By and large former generals do not make great statesmen, there are too many debts and alliances, our worst presidents came from among the generals (apart from the new breed of entrepreneurs). Lincoln's was a very troubled presidency, despite the myths that have grown around it.  His Emancipation Proclamation freed not so much as a single slave. LBJ was a manipulative crook, his civil rights reputation largely a result of things put in motion by Ike and JFK, and furthered by Bobby Kennedy, who was possibly the only member of the family with a shred of conscience.  A good president is not always a good man.  We hold our leaders to false standards of morality, and loose standards of justice and accountability. Sexual standards were quite different in early days.  Washington was possibly Father of his country in more ways than one, and the sign "Washington slept here" on so many houses is possibly true, possibly the most moral of our presidents, and least effective during his presidency, was Carter, but he is a great past president.

Woodrow Wilson, possibly along with Jefferson, the two most intelligent men to be president were neither really good presidents.  Wilson as an historian stood at the root and basis if much of the racism of the Twentieth Century, Jefferson's support of the Republican terrorists of France, as well as his personal use and support of slavery are black marks on our history. Jackson's administration was rife with favoritism and corruption as well as genocide which became the pattern for Hitler's Holocaust.  Grant's Administration was equally corrupt, if not more inept. Reagan's dealings helped set up the military strongmen and drug cartels of South America, as well as the Ayatollahs in Iran and Taliban in Afghanistan.

  10. Reagan  ran up huge deficits.  He was  good for jelly beans.  He had to admit to the public that he lied about the :"guns for contra affair".  He let Ollie North hang out to dry.   FDR was responsible for many improvements to the U.S. that are still used today. You name it..Banking, Conservation, Public Power Systems using water power.Recreation, National Parks.

All of the Dept Of Agriculture Programs that still operate today.

  11. Since none of us have lived through all of them no one can really know for sure

In my lifetime I would say Reagan was by far the best.

  12. I vote for Regan.  He unified Germany and didn't take c**p off of the Soviet Union.  I also like FDR.  He brought us out of the great depresion.

Some I would definatly not call the Greatest.

Lincoln:  He caused the civil war.  Some will argue this but if he had actualy set a plan for releasing slaves instead of just doing it we may have been able to prevent the civil war.  I am glad slavery is gone, but he should have formed a plan instead of just jumping head first into it.  Ya it might have taken a year or so more but it would have saved countles lives and would not have broke this country in two.

Bill Clinton:  Weakend the military and economy.  NOTE it takes 4 years for the effects of a presidents policies to take effect.  If you look back and see that in Clinton's first term the economy began to boom.  That was the effects of Bush Senior's Policies.  Then in his 2nd half it began to fail.  Then when bush took office it continued to fall.  Not to mention the fact that he lied under Oath.  As a leader you must set the example and he did not do that by breaking the law.  He shouldn't have been questioned about that but they did.  JFK wouldn't have lied.  He was open about his affairs.

JFK He was a criminal.  He had mob conections and was a snake in disguise.

George W Bush.  1st off he has finished ruining our economy.  He failed to form a good mission plan for Iraq after the initial take over.  He is kind of dim.

  13. Eisenhower.

He was a war hero and a popular president.

He built the highway system, enforced desegregation of public schools, and expanded the good federal agencies.

Eisenhower also warned of consequences of the growing military-industrial complex; if only JFK were to listen.

  14. Please, let  us not forget Washington, Adams and Jefferson the first three leaders who created and shaped this great land in the very beginning.

  15. Barack Obama

  16. Bill Clinton gave us the best 8 years of our life.  Bill also gave us the 3 time loser bill, he Balanced the Budget, the Brady Bill, 100.000 Policeman, Family and Medical Leave Act, Assault Weapons Ban, Violent Crime Control, The Law Enforcement Act, part of an omnibus crime bill, the federal death penalty was expanded to some 60 different offenses and don’t you forget Welfare Reform and the list goes on and on.  No other President for the last 50 years can even  come close to match all of the accomplishments that this man has made for our country.

Reagan gave 5 million illegals amnesty and lied about closings our borders. Then he raised your SS retirement age to 67. This is what your proud of?

  17. 1. Jefferson

    2. Jackson

    3. Lincoln

  18. If you loved a strong America it would have to be Mr Reagan If you want a country equal to all the other weak do nothing countries in the would you would not care for him

  19. In my lifetime, Ronald Reagan.
