  1. sachin is a best batsman(ind)

  2. Sachin Tendulkar for sure . It is so obvious man

  3. Alan Border, scoring over 11,000 runs in his career ofcause he is the best--In my views ofcause...

  4. allan border off course

  5. Sunil gavaskar was the best followed by javed,Alan border. haynes and shastri in the order.shastri was an allrounder

  6. Steve Waugh. He wasn't flashy or technically appraised as some of his teammates or opponents... but if Australia needed someone to perform under immense pressure when their backs were against the wall, he did it every time. He is most probably the main reason Australia have been so dominant since the early 90's

  7. Sunil Gavaskar

  8. Viv Richards was the best batsman those days.

  9. Christian bale...oops, thought you said batman..haha

  10. Sunil Gavaskar - the obvious choice

  11. Each served a different purpose:

Border - held the Aussies together with sheer guts when everything else was going wrong.  Taught them mental toughness.

Haynes was the reliable master starter (with Greenidge) and set up the batting dominance of the greatest batting team ever seen.

Miandad was a versatile tough player who gave as good as he got from the most ferocious attacks of any era ... WI and Aus, NZ and England in particular.

Shastri was one of the most graceful players of all time.

Sunil was an incredibly patient player who punished bad bowling (particularly leg side bowling) like no other.

... for establishing how cricket would be in the future, I would share the honours between Haynes and Border.  Aggression and mental toughness are the order of the day.

  12. haynes

  13. AB Allan Border

  14. Miandad(Pak)

  15. Viv Richards (West Indies) and Sunil Gavaskar (India)

For contrasting styles and dominating effect on the matches they played and the everlasting effect they had on the game!

  16. So many to pick from however, for me it's Aravinda de Silva of Sri Lanka during his prime. Aravinda de Silva a SL batsman that put Brett Lee & other bowlers in a bitterly disappointing for tons of runs. Aravinda de Silva a hero & a batsman from Sri Lanka.
