  1. I'm going to have to agree with Drew Henson. It just goes to show that high school success doesn't necessarily translate to success in sports after high school, or life for that matter.

  2. Hideki Matsui.

He has set the record of HRs in Koshien( National Tournament of High School Baseball).

  3. Josh Hamilton.....a 5 tool overall number 1 pick by Tampa Bay after his 1999 high school season.

  4. Drew Henson.  Had a then-record 70 home runs in high school.  But there are plenty of other valid choices.

  5. Chipper Jones

  6. I'm agreeing with Drew Henson.  He had a great prep career and ended up going from high school to the Yankees (3rd round pick in 1998).  When he decided he wasn't going anywhere with baseball he ended up going to school at U of Michigan where he was the starting QB.  He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the 6th round (pick 192) of the 2003 draft and is currently playing for the Minnesota Vikings.

  7. It's gotta be Alex Rodriguez.  Prep All-American, debuted in the Majors at the age of 19.  His credentials speak for themself, it's A-Rod, hands down.
