  1. Jimmy Carter.

  2. Reagan by far.

  3. Ronald Reagan! He was the best president EVER!

  4. Slick Willy for sure. The man got caught for getting some gummy but who cares? His policies were right on and people were happy. Lemme put it this way: would you rather have to be angry about how crappy the economy is or that your president is "unfaithful." That's his own business.

  5. Easy question--Ronald Wilson Reagan.

  6. President Carter 1977-1981 As soon as he could he got rid of A Burns put P Volker as Fed Chairman and stopped stag-flation, Started to explore Sherman anti-trust action against oil companies, Made Social Security actuary sound. De-regulated gas, trucking, airlines. Passed super fund. Started Energy and Education Cabinet positions. Started to explore alternative sources of energy. Held hearing to give Panama Canal to Panama. Tried to get the Senate to pass SALT 2. My favorite was select committee he set up to over see build up of arm forces that continue development of cruse missiles, Smart Bombs. He used subs to tap USSR underwater cable with pods. He got the hostages home without offering WMD. The author of book Man of the century Pope John Paul credits him with helping to end Cold War. His position on Human Rights helped South Americans relive plantation way of life and that let Primer of Russia let up on Poland. Human Rights, and big time demographic problems not Regan's stupid missiles ended cold war. Camp David Accords, and promise Rubin  offered. An extremely effective Chrysler loan guarantee plan. Scientist during his administration identified Y2K Problem, but corrective suggestions got shelved by Ron.

  7. Reagan then GW Bush.   d**n I'm old....I've live through all of them.....jeez....

  8. Eisenhower & Regan

toss up between the two in my opinion.

  9. Bill Clinton. Someone whose economic policies lead to a period of unparalleled economic growth can hardly NOT be called best.

  10. JFK and Reagan.

  11. Silly question...

Ronald Reagan by a 100 miles

  12. There is some hard data. Economically, Clinton wins hands down. Ethically, it is between Clinton, Carter and Kennedy.

Of course, that is just the hard data. Personal opinions will vary. I'm not old enough to remember anyone other than the Bush's and Clinton, so it isn't really fair. Clinton was clearly better than the other two, unless your sole measure of "best" has to do with s*x, but no one would be that dumb.

We had economic prosperity under Clinton, and three recessions under the Bush's. Bush II brought us 9/11 and the frivolous invasion and occupation of Iraq. Bush I and II brought us massive federal deficits and dishonest government. It really isn't much of a contest.

I'm hoping that Old John McCain wins. It will be nice to have someone in the White House dumb enough to lose a battle of wits with Paris Hilton. Of course, we have that now. Maybe that is one of the reasons that people say that Old John McCain is just another Bush.

  13. To me it's a tossup between JFK and Bill Clinton !

Depending on who you ask, I don't really understand how Reagan could be considered one of the best President's in the last 50 years given that most of his policies were anti-minority, anti-women, anti-affirmative action, anti-blue collar workers, and anti-equal opportunity. Poor people would not see Reagan as one of the best President's while those who do/did better economically would differ !

Reagan in many people's opinion, did more to harm hourly workers than any other President in recent memory. He busted the air traffic controller's PATCO union during their 1981 strike which the set the tone for union busting. He never during his 8 year term raised the minimum wage which shows he wasn't for the working man or woman.

He dismantled most if not all social programs that helped the poor !

The budget deficit explosion during the 1980's were a direct result of Reagan's tax cuts for the rich and also resulting in the lack of available funds that could have been earmarked toward social programs contributed to the continuing deconstruction of American social programs !

On a scale of 1 to 10, most on the list would rate anywhere between 6 to 10 with 10 being the highest score !

I'd rank Reagan a 1 with 1 being the lowest score ! He simply didn't care about you if you were poor, minority or a woman !

I would also give both President Bush's, past and current a 1 as well !

  14. "W" of course. he has done what the other presidents never had the balls. He showed those Muslim scum bags what is what. Maybe If Bush Snr had finished the job or Clinton  stepped up, we would be in a much better siituation now.

  15. I'll go with Clinton.  The country was prospering, and we were relatively at peace with most of the rest of the world.  He might have been the recipient of good circumstances, but at least he knew enough not to s***w with what was working.  But then, I'm only 32, so I don't remember what it was like when most of those guys were president.  I remember Reagan, but I can't say the president that helped train and equip Al Qaeda is the best out of the last 50 years.
