  1. Unfortunatetly for Rommel, the command of German forces was retained by a Bohemian Corporal in the Wolf's Lair in East Prussia.... which was the main reason the Desert Fox and Arnim lost North Africa.

  2. General Erwin Rommel

    aka. The "Desert Fox"

  3. Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel

  4. Everyone else got it HALF right.

Erwin Rommel followed by Hans-Jürgen von Arnim.

von Arnim commanded the Afrika Corps from March to May 1943 with the surrender of the Afrika corps.

  5. Erwin Rommel nick named ``Desert Fox``

  6. Erwin Rommel was in direct command of the Axis forces in North Africa. Through the course of that campaign the Field Marshall would become n**i-Germany's most well known general.

When Rommel had been beaten by Montgomery in Tunisia and had flown back to Germany to ask for reinforcements Hitler refused to let him return and turned over control of the Panzer Armee Afrika to Hans-Jurgen von Arnim who surrendered to the Allies soon after.

Despite this however Rommel and von Arnim respectively had a superior in the region and that was Albert Kesselring who was Commander-in-chief South. Kesselring had problems though when trying to influence the North African theatre as Rommel all but ignored him and by the time von Arnim came to command the theatre was all but lost.

  7. Field Marshall Erwin Rommel. He also helped with the construction of the Atlantic Wall. Before those years he was fighting against the Allies in France.

  8. That's it. Kevin  z nailed it

  9. Ervin Rommel
