seems to be a discrepency .. Do you mean to play Australian Rules football (ie actuall game not League) ...

Because there were definitely Aboriginal players playing Australian Rules Football WELL before Michael Long ..... I think your first person to answer is correct

BUT if you mean they played in the AFL ( which used to be the VFL) ... well that's different .. and there were several that were playing when the VFL became the AFL.
