2 out of 3 is not bad, but I've got a feeling that Lisa represents the majority misconception fostered by most of the media.

  1. It was Russia! When they rolled into Georgia with bombers and tanks and started blowing up every piece of military hardware in sight.

  2. It's beginning to look more and more like the USA on behalf of the Zionists of Israel.

See source below for motives for conflict.

  3. Georgia attacked first, but it's quite possible the Big Bear set a trap for them so they could make their move.

  4. Here is what looks like happened.

Georgia and the separatist province of South Ossetia had a peace negotiation on 2008-08-07. Georgia official Saakashvili openly declared a ceasefire on television after the negotiation. 4 hours later Georgia military lunched a full-scale surprise attack on South Ossetia city Tskhinvali killing hundreds of civilians (that have Russian citizenship) and a dozen Russian peacekeeper soldiers.

Russia military regain Tskhinvali city and went after Georgia.

Russia was probably just waiting for an excuse like that to invade and Georgian president Saakashvili gave it.

    Peaty good post suhelms1!

I suspected the pipe lines and Georgia trying desperately to become a NATO member. But did not know the pipe lines and the amount Russia claimed was to that extent important to Russia (or to its elite).

Your information checks out and it is always easier to check thing out than come up with them. Now I have a much better understanding of the importance of Georgia and why its “Transparency Internationa” index got up while it should have got down ever since president Saakashvili was “elected”.

    Right on!

  5. Georgia invaded South Ossetia on Aug.7 despite Russia repeatedly warning them that they would be met with Russian resistance. Georgia, being an ally of the US and Israel who trained and funded there military, believed that there aggression would be backed by the US and Israel which it was not. The people of South Ossetia do not want to be a part of Georgia but that seems to escape most peoples logic. Now that the Georgian troops have been removed by the Russians, the Russian army has pulled back.

When is the American people going to stop believing the lies that Bush tells them.

  6. Russia is trying to save the influence on Post soviet Republics, but these republics invaded 90-70 years ago Know know price of Russian hegemony and slavery and are trying to escape it by becoming NATO members, they hope that NATO will Protect them.

If you See National Interests Of Russia, Proved By Duma in 2001 you'll see on statement, that Russians National interest is to become center in multipolar World and spread its influence on Caucasus, Eastern Europe and they central Asia.

In fact National interests of Post soviet Countries (about becoming NATO members) intervenes with Russians National Interest and that causes Conflict (war). If these countries Become NATO member than Russia won't have any influence and will lose it's national interest, that is most important think for any country.

Russia Claims to be Democratic (according to Freedom house it's democracy level is quite Poor and is falling every year),so it can't just go in another country and invade it (spread influence by putting there puppet government) and is seeking for reasons or Creating Reasons. Russia Provocated Georgia By killing it's Soldier in S. Ossetia conflict Region and by shooting Georgian Villages in the Region. Georgian government lost Temper and responded on aggression. Russia had already prepared militaries as was planning this provocation long before and began invading Georgia, it's main Roads, Railways, ports..

    Russia Hoped to:

    1) Overthrow Democratic government and put their puppets Loyal to PutMed.

    2) Underline the fact that it has a power and Russians Militaries are strong enough to conquer a country (in this case Tiny Georgia)

    3) Show Nato that they are to accept Country with serious threats that puts hole Nato to threat and in this way frighten tham.

    4) To Show the world that only pipeline that doesn't cross Russia and goes to Europe through Georgia isn't as safe as thay sought.

Russia is becoming Evil Empire and if it won't be able to satisfy it's ambitions and appetite as a revenge probably will become partner with Iran and N. Korea (they sell lot's of Armour already there)

  7. The first thing that of group tried to leave Georgia to Russia. This caused Russia to invade Georgia.

  8. First aggressor.. Russia.

Since they encouraged and armed the rebels to begin this civil war almost 2 decades ago.  This isn't something new.

PUTIN: PAY ME BY MONDAY OR I OWN THE PIPELINE + GEORGIA

    RUSSIAN LEADER DEMANDING $87 BILLION ( = $30B + COMPOUND INTEREST)

    London, 16th August 2008:

GRU PRIME MINISTER DEMANDS IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF $87 BILLION

Russian GRU-Prime Minister Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has DEMANDED that his grossly overdue payment of $30 billion under the Reagan-Mitterrand Protocols MUST be paid, WITH COMPOUND INTEREST, and IN THE BANK BY MONDAY, 18TH AUGUST, or he owns the pipeline and Georgia.

With compound interest, the sum of money outstanding and payable to Putin is $87 BILLION, which is the sum he requires to be in the bank BY MONDAY.

FAILING PAYMENT OF $87 BILLION BY MONDAY, RUSSIA WILL SEIZE THE GEORGIAN PORTION OF THE PIPELINE AND WILL TAKE THE WHOLE OF GEORGIA, WHATEVER RICE AND BUSH SAY.

LIKE WE SAID, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, AND ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY

In the two preceding reports, we pointed out that IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

Since those reports appeared here, every self-appointed guru under the sun has developed all sorts of alternative explanations, ALL OF WHICH MISS THE POINT AND ARE DIVERSIONARY.

    • IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. And in more senses than the above.

Why? Kindly pay attention to the following:

    • Under former President William Jefferson Clinton (William Blyth IV), the US Government, which is to say THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER, provided $100 billion to finance construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. IT PUT UP THE MONEY TO PUT THE PIPELINE IN PLACE.

    • The relevant agreement provided for the following corrupt payments:

    (1) One dollar per barrel OFF THE TOP (i.e., gross) to be paid to former President George H. W. Bush (41), the most corrupt operative on earth.

    • It doesn't matter what the price is: he gets $1.0 per barrel.

    (2) One dollar per barrel OFF THE TOP (i.e., gross) to be paid to former President William Jefferson Clinton (William Blythe IV, the illegitimate son of Governor Winthrop Rockefeller) (42), an operative WHO WORKS FOR GEORGE H. W. BUSH SR. Whatever the oil price, he gets $1.0 per barrel.

    (3) Since the way these criminalist operatives work ALWAYS entails cutting those they cooperate with into the corrupt deal du jour, IT IS A CERTAINTY that others are taking a cut from the pipeline oil flow as well. About two months ago, there was talk about an 'override' of anything between $12 and $30 per barrel: code for ALL THE CRONIES ARE GETTING A PIECE OF THE PIE.

    • At the expense, of course, of American motorists and everyone else.

PUTIN HAS LOST PATIENCE AND IS USING 'LANGUAGE' THE U.S. CROOKS 'UNDERSTAND'

Now, Putin should have been paid his $30 billion (by Leo Wanta) YEARS AGO. What he has now done is to make it clear to the corrupt Americans that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: he MUST be paid his $30 billion PLUS COMPOUND INTEREST, for a total of $87 billion, or he takes over the Georgian component of the pipeline and the rest of Georgia. Then he'll take ALL the 'override' money, too.

That would mean of course that 41, 42, Shevardnadze (Bush Sr.'s immensely corrupt and utterly odious and ruthless 'trading partner') and Shevardnadze's former Interior Minister, Saakashvili, who replaced him as faux President of Georgia, will lose their corrupt pipeline cashflow, as well.

[For background to the corrupt removal of Georgian President Zviad Gamsakhurdia from office in 1992, with duplicitous American participation, please see our report dated 12th August 2008].

U.S. TAXPAYER PROVIDED $100 BILLION, BUT GETS NOTHING IN RETURN

Bear in mind, again, when considering the above, that $100 billion of US Government money, i.e. funds provided by the US taxpayer, were corruptly pumped into the Georgia pipeline project, with the intention that the American people as a whole would never see a penny from that investment.

No, the ONLY parties who were to receive cashflow from the pipeline oil were the two corrupt US Presidents, 41 and 42, and their despicable cronies.

ALL OTHER EXPLANATIONS ABOUT THE GEORGIA CRISIS ARE PHONEY OR DIVERSIONARY.

THIS IS INDEED ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. And GRU-Prime Minister Putin MEANS WHAT HE SAYS:

    • He must see $87 billion in the relevant bank account BY MONDAY, or Russia proceeds to take the pipeline into ownership (the Georgian section), and will take over in Tbilisi, as well.

Interesting, wasn't it, that even the corrupt Mikhail Gorbachev, thought it appropriate to allude to the fact, on the Larry King Live show, that this crisis is all about corruption in Washington.

Of course, that operative has to be a teensie weensie bit careful how he phrases such comments, as he himself accepted a bribe (ever so sorry, a 'facility payment') from US operatives led by Wanta, to 'go along with' the 'collapsible Communism' ruse which the Americans 'facilitated', even though th
