Who was the first black millionaire.......?

just wanted to know If this is ever taught during the 1mth we recognize black history in anyone's school. Don't get the wrong Idea, I am not looking for a riot, but I serously want to know if black people heard of other successful people that have helped our country other that George washington carver, Martin Luther king, Rosa Parks, etc. I have always felt that I have a cause and a reason for existence and have come from a great history. I am not ashamed of myself.....of my culture/history

It is important to remember that BLACK HISTORY DID NOT START WITH SLAVERY.

The first black millionaire was most defiantly NOT an American which counts Madame C.J. Walker out.

This is what should be taught during black history month.

King Endubis of the Aksum kingdom (c.270-300) minted African coins in gold an silver. Aksum was a key trading empire linking the India to Europe and was listed by Mani as one of the four most important empires of the time.

Sonni Ali of the Songhai empire. reigned 1464 to 1492.  Created a great navy which sailed the niger river and took ove the Mali empire.

Lukeni lua Nimi (1380-1420) He was the offpsring of his father Nimi and the Mwene Mbata's daughter, according to traditions recorded by Giovanni Cavazzi da Montecuccolo in the mid 17th century.

Mansa Musa was a 14th century West African king who ruled the Mali Empire from about 1312 to 1337. The Mali empire included the city of Timbuktu, one of worlds main centers of learning and culture at the time. The Mali Empire was one of the wealthiest civilizations in the history of the world!!

All of these men were millionaires wayy wayyyy before George Carver Washington or any modern black Americans, and ruled over vast, rich empires.
