  1. King Harold (the last Saxon) and King William I (known as the Conqueror) were both crowned there in 1066.   Every English, later British and now UK monarch has been crowned there except for Jane Grey, Edward V and Edward VIII, who were never crowned and Henry III who was crowned in Gloucester as England had been invaded by France and London was occupied by the French army.

  2. King Kong

  3. Hì there. The first english king was a Norman King. His name was William the conqueror. King William crossed the English Channel and embarked on the conquest of England. After the legendary battle of Hastings, he took full control of England.

  4. Harold Godwinson, King Harold II, in 1066.

  5. Harold II of England (Harold Godwinson) (1022 – October 14, 1066) was the last crowned Anglo-Saxon King of England. He ruled from January 5 to October 14, 1066 when he was killed at the Battle of Hastings. His burial and coronation probaby took place at the same time in 1066 at the Westminster Abbey.

  6. the new one....king harold him that got shot in the eye, cause edward the confessor was the first to be buried in it as he built it ,well not him personally....

  9. The one who said Harold was indeed correct, followed by William Plantagenet (the Conqueror). BOTH of these coronations were in the year 1066. Since 1066 only three kings (Edward V, Edward VIII (abdicated king) and Henry III and just one queen were NOT crowned in the Abbey. The queen, Lady Jane Grey, was not a queen regnant like our queen.)

  10. William the Conqueror in 1066

  11. george ?? i think

  12. King Harold , shortly followed by William I (not technically an english king I know).

I thought it was Edward the Confessor but he was the first to be buried there.

  13. Edward the Confessor I think
