Probably the ones that helped build the ruins in South America.But I think some of the Cohokia indian ruins in Missouri are even older than those so I guess it is a toss up.

There has never been contact with an extraterrestrial race.  Where did you get that idea?  Interstellar travel is impossible.  

The best answer to your question is Neanderthals. Strictly speaking they were  human, but a different sub-species.  That's close enough.  Our species met and the Neanderthals were driven into extinction.  It took several thousand years and there seems to have been some interbreeding.  But eventually they all died.  That doesn't say much for our ability to work with any potential aliens, does it?
