    Sutton actually hit two in the game -- in the fourth and seventh innings -- but Cleveland lost to the Chicago White Stockings, 14-12.

    At the end of the day, the White Stockings were tied for first place with a 1-0 record, and the Forest Citys were in fourth at 1-2.

    Sutton hit one more HR all season (he played in all 29 of Cleveland's games), finishing in a three-way tie for fourth place with three, behind a three-way tie for first place with four homers.
