  1. Phelps did !

  2. phelps was first

it was easy to call but the extra half stroke is what got him into the wall first

replays are amazing they make it look like cavic came in first but the times showed that phelps did

  3. The replay completely shows that cavic has his hands first on the sensor thingy but i thnk that phelps took that last half a stroke to beat him by 0.01 seconds.

  4. If there was a fraud, I'd be with you. However, Phelps touched the wall first. If you look at the camera shot from above the water, you would swear Phelps was second. When you look at the camera underwater, you notice that Phelps' long arms in fact do make it to the wall first. I guess that is an advantage of being tall. The difference was about an inch or two, but it's not like somewhat quickly hacked into the video system and modified the video to make Phelps first. No fraud. No doping. Just peer luck.

  5. its obvious that phelps did! the olympics are full of officials. i think they kno wht they r talking about.

  6. The video tape was shown to Cavic and his coaches in frames of 1/1000 of a second. When the video tape was seen, Cavic admitted he lost and all the protests were dropped.

No conspiracy, no fraud, no doping.

  7. Phelps. The timing system and the replays don't lie. Cavic lost it because he glided into the wall.

  8. Phelps. The timer doesn't lie nor does the camera. You might not like it but Phelps won. Fair and square.

  9. Phelps. 100% Michael Phelps. There's no doubt about it. Even one of the Olympics officials said so!

In the final 20 feet, Michael looked like a beaten swimmer. But his extra kicking strength powered him close enough to the exhausted Cavic that he touched the wall a hundredth of a second sooner. Replayed showed that, on the final stroke, Cavic had Michael beaten. But Cavic glided to the wall while Michael made one last desperate lunge.

Michael beat Cavic. There is absolutely no doubt about it.

  10. Phelps. The timing system doesn't lie and the high speed camera confirms it.
