  1. 2 stroke or 4 stroke.  No 6 stroke engine

  2. Malcolm John Beare

    Bruce Crower

Took al of 5 secs on google.

  3. Depends on which model six stroke.

The Crower Cycle by Bruce Cower in 2004

The Baujulaz six strok by the Baujulaz company in Geneva, Switzerland 1989

The Trivandrum created by a team of engineering students in 2006

  4. Having read the link that ianhad left I think I can say that the idea of an opposed piston engine has been around for about 100 years. I have actually sailed on vessels that had the Doxford variant of these and that engine had no valves but was scavenged by the upper piston uncovering the exhaust and inlet ports. This looks like a small variant with instead of long link rods from a yoke on the top piston to the crank the use of a drive chain, the idea however seems to be the same.

  5. You know, you go through life living in your own little world and occasionally you randomly come across something that you think is fantastic and really wish you'd had that idea.

This is one of those moments for me, thanks for the links "ianhad", the second link explains the process in a traditional cycle-by-cycle diagram.

Great ideas are always simple ones and you wonder why its not been thought of before and common place.

  6. Never heard of a six stroke engine.

  7. Go to beare technology on yahoo very interesting write up.
